New to the area
 

I recently moved to DeRidder from Alaska and was wondering if anyone would be willing to offer some advice/locations for fishing in the Central LA area. I don't have a boat so my options seem limited. I would be most appreciative for any information. So far I've fished Vernon Lake, Toledo Bend (the military dock area), Anacoco Lake and the spillway at Bun**** Lake.

Look into a kayak, inexpensive and you can get to some decent places pretty easy

Travel south to Lake Charles for amazing saltwater action. If you need a fishing partner up there Jordan on this site fishes Vernon pretty often and is a good guy. You can PM him and maybe he can give you some help.
