Great Trout Bite!
2 Attachment(s)
A beautiful morning to fish yesterday. The 15 kt winds that were forecast never developed and we enjoyed a very calm morning to bust up the yellowmouths. The gnats were a minor problem but you don't notice them as much when you're slamming the fish. Walter Voorhies was back for his second trip and he and his crew including Dave & Colin whacked the trout quickly as we had their 75 fish limit by 8:20 a.m. Thats just the way Walter likes it...easy & quick! Walter wanted a few reds for the grill so it only took one stop to accomplish our mission. We hooked up with 6 quick reds on swim baits and 3 of the brutes went home with Walter. The majority of the trout were caught on LSU chubs tightlined with a medium retrieve. Back at the Lakehouse before 10:00AM. Thanks guys for another great trip on the DU!
