Hit the water w my buddy caught some decent trout! On top and some mirrordines

I see a lot of people that use mirrordines, do you fish em like "walking the dog" for topwaters? I have one, but have never caught anything on it.

I use it like a jerk bait.... Slow or fast depending on how they want it

thanks, don't suppose you could steer me to the right color topwater? I am still trying go get one on top, and just haven't managed it yet.
