Yep, been out in the open bay when the wind was blowing like crazy talking about not Fun! and a wet ride

I never do good there when its windy. Unless I go across to marsh island and fish for reds. And its usually not a pleasant ride. THe water in the bay gets muddy with the wind. Normally

Some of my best days fishing the bay were extremely windy. One time it was the bank across from the beach, with a strong southeast wind that was blowing us into it. We'd just go about 150-200yards off the beach and let the wind blow us back into it and drop anchor if we hooked into anything. Other days I'd just drift banks in weeks bay, whatever one had little wind and have caught well on multiple occasions. Plus sharks bayou is usually overlooked. I forgot about two weeks ago on the Tuesday that a front came in, we smoked some fish on top water just fishing anywhere with little wind.

Good luck man! Don't let the wind get the best of you.
