By no means it isn't as serirous thing. But i think it is a wastes of resourses to sees all the cops around town doing nothing but burning gas around town and all the people voulintering to build sand bags for the levies. It looks to me like it is a FEMA thing.The curfur was a waste after the fact to stop a benifit at american legion. Lake Arthur got a grant for flooding after Rita Looks like there planning was not very well establised.

Lake Arthur is not damn near under water . My office is in Lake Arthur

The bulk of flooding is lake side and river side. Serious issues for aot of people

I do think that the emergency response folks sometimes get bored
and look for an opportunity to pull out their toys and play.
