Kayak Launching Points
Hey guys, last year I went kayak fishing for the first time last spring with a friend and quickly thereafter bought a kayak. After that I went with my friend and launched roadside in Fourchon and fished the marshes a few times and ha a blast. Problem is, Fourchon is two hours away. Just wondering if anybody knows of any places writhing a half hour or so of Metairie/New Orleans where I could park, launch my kayak, and fish close by. Any fish is fine by me and I'm fine with both freshwater and saltwater, I really just want to fish more. Any help is greatly appreciated.
P.S. I'm not asking for anyone to give up there "secret spots." Really if I just need to get a boat in the marsh and go from there. |

I'm taking a ccw course saturday so I won't be fishing this weekend or next but I'm be fishing, I'll message you next time I go.

Thanks for those suggestions. Irish bayou looks like it has some good broken marsh for redfish.
