Toledo Bend 02-09-13

Weedeater and myself made a quick trip to the Bend this morning. We fished the Indian Creek area. The weather was not what you would call ideal. The temp never got out of the 40's and the wind was on the verge of being unfishable. There was only 3 fish caught out of our boat today with the smallest being undersized and the biggest in the 4lb range. They was caught on carolina rigged flukes in 30-40' of water. The water temp was 54 degrees. We was off thr water by 1:30. Only one person caught the fish today and it wasn't Weedeater. :-) Ill post pics when I can.

Man.... I was kinda depressed that I want going to be there this weekend after the kinda day we had yesterday. The. I woke up this morning to go play golf and I felt that cold breeze and was somewhat thankful. ;-)
Buddy of mine came back from fishing the bend today ... Little lowes and 6 mile and they only had 6 keepers all with nothing over 3. One of the guys he fished with had been laying into them up to 7lbs tues-Friday. Guess life can be tough sometimes for us weekend warriors lol
I'm sure y'all still enjoyed fishing I. God's Country!

We enjoyed it even though it was cold. The water was absolutely beautiful.

We went this morning also. Very slow. We ended up with 7. Guy I work with bil went yesterday and they had their limit of 75 sacalait in 3 hours. They went back today and last I talked to him they had 12. Terrible day. Most boats I think I've ever seen on the lake!!

Well In my opinion probably the weather had more to do and maybe not fishing shallow enough. I heard they have been really catching a lot of good fish but a little farther north. But the water was absolutely clear. Weedeater lost a rattle trap in 5-6 feet of water and you could see it plain as day.

He caught the fish, big deal..... he should thank his guide since I was running the trolling motor for him to catch them.....
I did learn today that I got spoiled to my bass boat and there will be another big boat bought by next spring, 17x44 tunnel ain't made for fishing the lake but it was still a good day to get away and hopefully by the time I get to go back it will be alittle warmer and fish will be on beds that far south.
