How many days for Big Lake?
 
Ok guys, this is the first good cool snap we get this faul......I'm itching to go fishing so bad I'm sure almost sure I'm gonna take a day off of work next week....How many days after the front til the fishing pics up at Big Lake?...I know the wind has to stop for the water to clear up....I don't usually fish too much this late in the year, but this year I'm gonna fish HARD through the winer.....Give me some info...

I just checked www.noaa.gov for Hackberry and it shows the wind starting to come down SUN evening and only blowing 5-10 on MON. On TUES, it shows 10-15!!! I think MON may not be that bad. Plus the tide is good..

I got live info off the lake ..... Its in bad shape...it will take a few days to clear up......Winds have and still are over 20mph avg....no good from the north:cry:

W..I hear ya....I go to that same tides and currents site...
However, if the wind dies down just say SUN around 5-6 pm and stays down you do not think it will clear-up somewhat by MON morning???

can someone give me some updates for the thanksgiving time period, will bring my yak over to try and get on some trout after duck hunting.

Fishing should be good......up until we get some cold weather. The Trout will then move to deep water to keep warm.

When it warms back up......the trout bite will pick back up again in a few days.

With the wind forecast the way it is...looks like I'll wait for the weekend....I'll save that day off of work for a perfect weather day....but if the weather is close to decent for the weekend I'll be there.

I agree. Monday may be the best bet, but I can't go then, so tomorrow will have to do. Forecast for rest of the week not looking good...
