fix a flat in trailer tire?
 

Anybody ever done it? Noticed any balance problems? I have a small leak in my tire and cant find it. Nothing major but i dont wanna buy a new tire. I also heard about it being bad for the tire over a long period of time?

It will ruin your tire and being that trailer tires are load rated I don't think I would take the chance on a $50 tire

ETA: One time I had a leak on a tire that no one could find, I bought it to an old man and he took the tire off, wire wheeled the rim where the tire seals, remounted it and it was fine after that. That may be your problem.

Slime it, go buy you a bottle and follow directions.... they have one for trailer tires

Fix a flat will eat up the rim if left in to long .Slime is better . Both are gonna piss off the tire guy when he has to fix it . In a pinch I would use it to get home ,but not long term .My boat is worth more than the price of a tire .

I changed tires for several years while in college and as far as I'm concerned fix a flat and slime is something for an emergency. I fixed a lot of flat tires that had that stuff in it. I can't remember if I fixed any flats on boat trailer tires or not. I know I've done it on tires on one ton trucks.
