Lake Vernon 2-23-13
 

Hit the lake about noon. High sun and North Wind and Muddy Water. Not a bite until 5:30, sun dropped behind the trees, then it turned on. Had five in the boat the last 20 minutes of the day. Shallow up in the grass. Biggest never made it to the boat. Big female, jumped clean out the water, showed me that big white belly, then spit my craw at me. Heart breaking.

I don't think just yet, water was still pretty cold, but the next stretch of warm weather should get em up there

oh yeah, all i could see was bucket mouth and belly, prob 4 or 5 lbs
