Ruger 10/22

i have a couple of 30 round magazines for my 10/22 that have performed great since i got them a few years ago, now they seem to be starting to want come apart and aren't working at maximum efficiency, the issue is they are no longer made, there are a couple on ebay, but they seem to be made of gold, and you can not list a magazine that holds more than 10rounds on ebay, plus everyone is in panic mode cause obummer is threatening to take away our rights, does any one know where i can find a few good 25-30(or more) round mags, i have bought some from cabelas in the past but they were junk, and i don't want to have to trade an arm and a leg for mag, i can spare a few fingers though, if none are available just advice on which ones work the best would be just fine

No matter where you look for them right now, you're going to pay a premium. Ridiculous, yes but, it's fact. You may try gunbroker.com but, it won't likely be any better than eBay right now.

No one can keep them in stock right now.

pay

yeah i can pay extra for them to an extent, i just hate to spend to much on a mag and not know if they are any good, don't want to spend that kind of money and have the mag jam all the time

Spend the extra money and buy the Ruger brand 25 rd mags. I have a few that aren't Ruger and are 30 rounds but, I can't remember the name right off hand. Butler Creek, I think. They are pretty good mags thus far. I've likely only run a few hundred rounds through each of them though.

Try searching for HC3R magazines. Kind of hard to find in stock. Just got 2 of them in. I am trying them out this afternoon. I think they will be good.

I've got a couple but haven't tried them out yet.. They have some pretty cool features though..

Butler creek with the steel lips work pretty good.

longsidelandry 03-11-2013 08:43 AM

I have a Ruger 25 round and a Butler Creek w/ the steel lips. They're both good mags so far but I've only put a couple hundred rounds through each so far. Every now and then I can find the Butler Creek mags at local businesses but it's not often.
