Walgreens hired all the staff and took over all the prescriptions. They will still have their gift shop at the old pharmacy location. It will open next month.

I know a guy who was a Pharmacist who had his own pharmacy, he sold out to Rite Aid once, worked for them when his non compete was up he opened another pharmacy kept it open for a few years and then sold out to Walgreens. He moved away is partially retired and works for a mom pop pharmacy part time now.
I still go a local guy. No waiting in line for hours to get a script filled any more. Once its called in by my DR by the time I get to the pharmacy it's ready. He calls me by name and thanks for me for my buisness every time.

That's awesome. My wife liked going there even though she didn't have all our prescriptions there. She enjoyed the personal touch they had there.

I will truly miss the personal service I had at The Drug Store. I absolutely refuse to use Walgreens.
