Anyone catching crabs?

Ok, so I have had shrimp, fish, and crawfish trying to satisfy my seafood craving, but only one thing will work... Some Louisiana blue crabs. So where are they right now that u can reach from shore? I know I will have more crabs than I know what to do with in August, but I want to get some now! Any suggestions?

There is some good spots at Josephes Harbor. You can crab at the hwy or you can set up along the gravel road that goes to the locks and also set up at the locks.. Get there early cuz there is usually a crowd..

That far and I could go to Grand Isle or old leesville rd. I was hoping for something near lake P. We made a couple trips to Mississippi last year but always struck out, but the new BP beach is nice and we go more for the little one to play.

Might try that. I was thinking about going somewhere along 55, there are lots if good spots, just curious if the crabs are out yet.
