Toledo Band rental recommendations

The wife and I are looking at going up to Toledo Bend for a week with the little one. Her family used to have a camp in the Many area long ago but sold it, so now we need to find a place to rent. We would prefer it to have its own dock and be close to some decent bank fishing. Can't take out the boat with the little one. The trip is more about spending time with the family more than fishing, but I would like to wet a line while I'm there. Any recommendations on a nice camp close to decent bank fishing would be appreciated.

We are going to the beach in September and would like to make this trip before then. When would be the best time to go out there? I won't be able to take off until after May because of work.

Either North or South Toledo State parks have nice cabins.

The sooner the better as far as timing goes.

San Miguel state park has nice cabins. They also have a covered boat dock that you can fish off of as we'll as pretty good bank fishing. That time you should be able to catch plenty bream off the dock and bank. Also they have a small beach to take the little ones swimming. And they're cabins are not real expensive.

Wildwood is nice, especially when bringing the better half... Nice pier and ponds to fish around...

Check on VRBO. They have a lot of good rentals on there. We have been able to stay in some really nice camps from that site.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Are all the state parks on the lake itself or they just have ponds? We are looking for something a little private, but the state parks might be better for the little one.

Moody, do you have contact info for that house?

Both are on the lake. They have playgrounds and I believe swimming pools

Let me do some digging, it really was an awesome place and private

I'll second wildwood as hydro said. It's right next to San Miguel. It's a little more expensive but the cabins are a little nicer. They have ponds to fish around the cabins and also a pier to fish off of.

X3 on wildwood. The wife and I have been there 4 or 5 times and really love it there. The only thing I don't like is the damn peacock that jumps on my truck!! Lol

Wildwood is excellent. Everyone is super nice and plenty different cabins available to suit you. Nice dock to fish from if u don't have a boat.
