Boat stahl

I've been on a waiting list for a boat stahl in BL for sometime now. Got the call for an opening today. I live in lafayette and 75% of my fishing is done in BL. Weighing out the pros and cons and wanted to get y'all's opinion on the matter. Living in lafy do you guys think it'd Benifet me enough to get the stahl or just continue trailer ing almost every weekend? Tia

Only thing I don't like about a stall is leaving it over the water. Guy that has a stall told me everytime he goes to get his boat at his stall, something isn't working. My uncle has a stall at his camp open now that guy he has camp with passed away but I think I'm just gonna leave my boat on the trailer there this summer instead of putting on lift. Another thing is that my boat is always filthy after a fishing trip. I like to hit it with the pressure washer after every trip. So that would be tough.

Yea no doubt. I have three days so keep em coming.

2 grand a year plus up keep( $500 a year)

How much do you fish??

Which side of the lake?
Is there access to fresh water? For boat cleaning? For fish cleaning?
How much gas will you save by not having to tow the boat every weekend?

If I had a boat and I had the option, I'd be all over it. If there is fresh water available, you can get a small electric pressure washer and clean boat very easy. The convenience would out weigh any issues as far as I'm concerned. Everything we do has costs associated with it. In my opinion, that's what you need to look at.

I really like having mine in a lift! But I live 20 minutes from the marina. Quick evening trips, and fishing late, no trailering, fishing cleaning right there, and fresh water. I use a local lady $20 on Sunday to clean the boat after a weekend of fishing is not bad. Only thing I don't like is transporting fuel or paying extra for fuel on the water, other than that 👍👍👍👍👍

I had mine in a stall for two years. Would still be there if the place had a better maintain/ dredging system. So easy to just drop it and go. Hauling gas can be a pain.

What do you guys with stalls do for your fuel? Are you filling a bunch of gas containers and bringing them back and forth?

T-TOP 05-20-2013 03:38 PM

5-gallon cans

15-gallon fuel tote with gravity fed hose and nozzle

Fuel on the water for a little more $ per gallon.

If you getting one at Heberts you will also have to buy the equipment that is already in it from the last guy. So that cost will vary depending on how much the last guy who had the slip wants for it. Keep in mind you rent the slip spot only. Everything else is own your own nickel. I've had mine for 5 years and love it. Some years there seems to be more maintenance than others, most things that require maitenance is cables and the motors. I've been through 2 motors and 3 cable change outs.
