blackjack fishbox

the fishbox to step up on the front deck is the only fish box on a blackjack? I see the big storage box on the front deck, but the actual fish box couldn't hold more than 1 limit of trout or a few reds, is there a box i'm missing.?:help:

I fished a blackjack 22 in grand isle last weekedn and we had 60+ in the box with 2 bags of ice no problem, it held more than I thought.

livewells are insulated also. can be plugged and used as well.. But, as Goooh said, the fish box will hold plenty. I'd say as much as a 65/70 qt ice chest.

It makes a great drink box. Can always use the under seat cooler if you don't like the box, plus it's easier to clean up.

If you have an issue with filling up a BJ fish box too quickly, then you are catching a lot bigger fish than I am! Lol! The most I've had in mine at one time was 60 trout, 10 slot reds, a few flounder and a 20lb bag of ice with room to spare. The livewell under the console seat and the livewell in the middle of the rear deck also provide a TON of room to put fish if you choose, and each of them are very easy to clean.

I agree its on the small side. Has anyone tried putting an ice chest in the large storage hatch? Ive never tried but it may be an option once the fish box fills up.

Why put a ice chest in there? There's a livewell in the back that's insulated that has plenty of room and the fish box has enough room to hold a lot. If using an ice chest I'd just use one under the leaning post.
