Took the oldest to South Sabine ship channel and he was tierd when it was over. He caught the biggest fish of his life, I dont know what it would weigh. But it was one of the biggest Bull Red I have ever seen. We caught reds, sharks, and slimmy tops he had a blast. Biggest red had something living on his tail not sure what you call them.

That is awesome. My oldest is just getting to the age where he can tag along. I cant wait for him to get his chance to catch a big one. He will me amazed. That is good times.

That's a slob. Looks like some kind of parasites (lice) on its tail. I've seen them before.
|
That first red is pretty big. Probably around 35-40lbs. Nice job geting them pole benders on.
|
sea lice on the big red. Nice job!

Just shy of 46" he was pumped

If you can't weigh it but you know the legnth and girth you can do the legnth x's girth x's girth / 830, that will put you within a few pounds. 830 is the number for specs, not sure what the number is for reds. As the fish get bigger then number you divide by changes.
Say that fish had a 30" girth 46" x 30 = 1380 x 30" = 41400 divide 830 = 49#s, roughly |
Didn't get a girth will next time. CPR

That is a heck of a fish. I bet he had fun pulling that thing in the boat.
