Water was pretty good today, beautiful in weeks bay , trash pile area, a lot of 16" reds. North side of the bay had a lot of bait and reds.

yep, i hope it holds out as well. caught this one last weekend at the trashpile. it was my wifes first trip out since her surgery. even though it was a 20 lb big nasty she had a ball.

I was out there yesterday afternoon just to run my boat and test out my new Lowrance HDI. Water seemed to be muddy, but I didn't wet a line, just ran around trying to adjust my transducer. Saw a guy at the landing who said he didn't even get a bite, but then on the way back to the landing, I saw two "ginormous" carcasses of red snapper in the canal. Go figure.

shellman 06-04-2013 08:21 PM

Thats a big nasty for sure...

Fishdok 06-04-2013 09:37 PM

Water looks brown on that site. Brown everywhere around till about 15 miles offshore???? How do y'all see clear water?

Compared to a week ago or more!

I toss water on my deck and it's still stained, but not near what it was 2 weeks ago...

I went out this afternoon and it was real nice - almost shot across to the pass, but glad I didn't based on what I read.

Squeaked out 1 keeper red and 3 good flounder. Through back a bunch that were juuuuuuust too small.

Went out of the pass this afternoon. The water in the bay wasn't near as bad as last week. Water was pretty in tiger shoal area. Caught a few trout, and a lot of big nasties. Was calm on the way out for a few hours, then got kinda choppy. Current ripped all afternoon. Havent seen it like that in a while.

speck-chaser 06-04-2013 11:01 PM

Oh, and red snapper heads and carcasses all over by the landing and in the Quintana canal. Guess somebodies getting on some.

Montauk17 06-05-2013 09:59 PM

Went to the point today to work on a boat....water was decent color but very fresh. Talked to someone that caught 10 reds and 4 flounder in weeks bay on dead skrimps.

haoward 06-05-2013 10:01 PM
