White perch spider rigging

spider rig fishing is the only way to go its a lot of work but well worth it had 50 in three hours

Chip Landry 06-10-2013 10:56 PM

Where were you fishing and how many poles you running on your rig?

whunter29 06-11-2013 08:55 AM

I would love to learn how to do it. What kind of knots do you use?

Xpress21 06-11-2013 09:23 AM

I tie loop knots. pretty easy to do and you can space out your lures as much or as little as you want....

I won a spider rig a few years ago and have never used it. Never seen anyone use it here in south la. Would love to love to learn how to use it.

Crawl79 06-11-2013 01:47 PM

I know some people use them in Saline And Larto but haven't done it myself.

doughutchinson 06-11-2013 03:52 PM

I don't know how to load my pic we used. Two jigs and two shiners per pole in 12 ft of water and had 8 poles out 4 on each side I use the tap talk app any help posting pic would be great

When you write a reply hit the middle picture at the bottom of the box that looks like a mountain with a sun above it. At least that's how it is on iPhones

very nice

Montauk17 06-11-2013 07:48 PM

Nice setup...I troll with two 12' bnm graphite jig poles with 2 jigs on each rod. I can see how 8 rods would work well just too much for me. I would be cussing all day with the lines getting tangled...haha

Gerald 06-11-2013 08:07 PM

I use to sometimes do that with a flyrod on each side of the boat and a rod on each side of the engine. This worked fairly well in 10 to 15 feet of water in north Lake Pelba.

Do you use GPS to see how fast you are trolling. Or do you just guess at it. How deep do you fish the jigs.

doughutchinson 06-18-2013 07:56 PM

I put my trollingmotor as slow as it will go

doughutchinson 06-18-2013 07:58 PM

This day it was 12 ft and we has them spaced about 6 inches apart
