Casting and poling platform?
Has anyone on here built their own? I'm not wanting to spend 300-600$ on a platform and I don't want something permanent

A coworker of mine bought a 3 or 4 step folding ladder from Lowes and uses that. He put an eye bolt on the bottom and attaches it to the deck of his boat with a trunbuckle. works fine.
Look up cosco 2 step folding ladder |
Alot of guys you a Yeti style ice-chest for a casting platform and have even seen pics of guys using them for poling

Nice looking boat!

If I had a yeti than I wouldn't have asked about a platform lol
|
I use my cooler for now but also bought a dual step stool like posted above, will be having a platform built for the rear soon, was quoted 400-500$....Gonna cheap out on the pole though and get a 21 or 22ft aluminum pole made. Checkout strongarmproducts.com also

Issue with using a cooler or stool for the back is poling over the motor. a real platform is a world of difference

Send a pm to med/heavy he built his old one on his old boat ask him for pics.. But basically it was 2 " PVC using 90 degree elbows ect and that starboard as the deck

I got one of my buddies building me a casting platform at a fab shop I use to work at and it's free

|
Better use some inside out frozen ice in that ice chest..... otherwise it's going to melt 8 minutes slower than a Coleman Extreme
