Water was very marginal fishing wasn't great. Green water about 1/2 mile off of beach.

Lawrence....the areas that are talked about when fishing the "Beachs" are anywhere from 10 to 20+ miles west of the Cameron Jetties.

The areas 12 to 16 miles from the Jetties is where most people fish along the beach.

The nearest boat launch is a couple miles from the outside of the Jetties, so you need to add 4 mile to estimate distance travling. So a trip by boat would be 30++ miles.

Over a 100 boats at rocks today

Using WunderMap to check.......Winds at 10:45 AM are now 8 to 9 mph out of the NE.

Last night this site showed to winds to be a little stronger and coming from the E or ENE direction.

Clampy 07-03-2013 11:57 AM

It's 14 miles from jetties to holly rocks.

that far guess I can't take the little boat unless I bring a couple gas cans

Clampy 07-03-2013 12:14 PM

Yeah. It's 7.4 NM to first set of rocks from the end of jetties. Plus 3-4 from launch by the ferry.
