Cocodrie this week
So being at LUMCON we really have nothing to do during the downtime but fish. I ended up pulling the boat down from BR but it turns out it has a blown power pack but should be fixed later today.
This was sunday and monday nights. I believe 12 reds http://i.imgur.com/yyWg1vb.jpg This shot was from tuesday and Wednesday http://i.imgur.com/g1htOq9.jpg Fishing has been good, mostly fishing the falling tide at night drifting dead and live shrimp and also any white plastics. We have a box of another 8 or so fish that is going to be cleaned today. So far all of the reds have been under 20" except one that got tangled in a crab trap and got off. I'm hoping to be able to get the boat out and find a little bigger fish. |
By the way, does anyone know of a good place closest to LUMCON for some good shrimp. Coco has like .5lb for 6 buck and its frozen. We have also bought from laparouse(sp?) and wasn't too impressed. Were trying to buy 5 or so lbs at a time.

Go to chauvin. There are a couple places along the bayou that sell. Can also got to any of the shrimp docks and buy bait shrimp straight off the boat
