Big Lake 7-13 morning
 

Hit the water this morning and got on a few trout. Should and could have had a limit but I forgot to strap down the trolling motor and after some banging around on some waves it wouldn't work at the next stop. Got on some fish there and couldn't follow them because they were moving to quick to drift along with. Caught a bunch of dinks and also caught a small croaker. Ended up putting the croaker on a cork line and stuck the spare rod in the rod holder. After about 5 minutes of drifting something decided to eat and made a run. Started peeling drag then instant slack...I think it was a shark because the line didn't pop it just went slack and left me with no hook. All caught on artificial shrimp bait a couple on popping cork. Decided to head in early after trolling motor issue and had plans for the afternoon.

Thanks guys! I fixed the trolling motor issue. Negative wire came out of the butt connector for the trolling motor plug. It was marine adhesive heat shrinked on there so it must have taken quite a pounding over the past few months. Wish I would have seen that on the water I woulda have rigged it up.
