I fished Sunday morning with my brother. Worked the banks with shrimp under a popping cork. Caught 4 keeper reds in the first 30 minutes or so. Fished hard for the next 4 hours to catch 4 more reds. Didn't try for any trout. The water closer to shark bayou was very nice. It muddied up a bit around towards the trash pile. Water tasted pretty fresh. Good luck. Shoot us a report if you can.

Fish all the points and drains along the east bank....don't waste time fishing any straight banks. Keep moving and you will eventually find em. Gulp under a cork works well.

thanks everyone for the info...

The best success we had there this year was bouncing chartreuse gulp swimming mullet off the bottom. Most reds came from right on the grass to 10ft away. Most fished were stacked around the points and cuts.
