shrimping in Vermilion Bay

Season opens Monday. I have never been to Vermilion Bay, but thought this may be a good opportunity to do so. I am thinking of going close to the refuge in the south west section of the lake. Any suggestions from you guys local to the area ? I am planning on putting in at Intercoastal City at daylight.:help:

Just so you'll know, WLF for VB has a larger than normal net-mesh-size requirement for the fall white shrimp season. You may want to read up on the regulations and check your net's mesh size.

Thanks for the info Dougie, I just checked the mesh size. It is 1.5 stretched for VB. I have 1. 25. Guess I'll be heading to a different destination. Thanks for the info.
