Dove Hunt?

Anybody got a lead on a "day fee" dove hunt in Louisiana? I want to take my little boy this year.

LDWF usually has a few fields Where you pay per gun. They usually don't announce where till weekend before season to make sure that the fields have birds on them.

It'll be posted the Thursday before opening day in outdoor section of the morning advocate. They usually have good hunts with lots of birds. Gotta get there early cause they only allow certain amount in depending on size of fields. We've had some really good hunts on LDWF leased fields. Private would probably be preferred but if not you got this

latravcha,

Is that a public hunt? If so, do they hunt in the mornings or evenings? How early do you have to get there to get a spot?

Thanks,

Dan

It is a public hunt. You can start shooting at 12. We normally get there at 9am. Bring a waggon with you for your ice chest. It is a little bit of a walk from where you park at to the fields.

That's good to know.

I want to bring my little boy he's 9. I have a sweet little browning .28 BPS that I've been itching to use. I seen Academy has shells for it now too.
