I caught this eel the other dayat the pier in Cameron. Has anybody seen this kind and know what species it is?

Ive caught a few but not like that, that one looks like its from the gulf.

think rusty is right, definitely not an american eel and there are many species of 'moray' eels, all have those type teeth in the front and have a second set of jaws in the back
cool story: american eels that you catch in rivers and lakes around here all came from the Sargassum Sea (way far away from here) and will return there to spawn if they don't end up on the grill:rotfl:
