Material for fence

I am looking for suggestions on places to purchase material to build a wooden fence. I am looking at roughly 1200 ft of fence. I am wanting to use square 5x5 posts and 1x8 as runners. Looking for other potential places besides Lowes, Home Depot, Stines, etc.

Home Builders in Sulphur, Builder Save More in LC, have nice lumber and competitive prices.

Williams Wood in Carlyss
Scott 515-6996
He can get anything you want plus he has equipment to cut, plain, jig or whatever you want done custom along with a kiln to dry wood if needed.
I bought some 10''x10'' post for my house and he was very fair and got them quick.

Figure $9 a foot for material anywhere you go. 4x4 and 2x4 not 5x5 or 1x8.

Gillis Lumber was roughly .85¢/ft for cypress rough cut boards, 1"x6". They have all sizes.

That's $5.10 per 6' picket and $12,240.00 to cover 1,200 ft. A 1" runner will not hold up 16 pickets per 8' between centers, will need min of 3 2x4's in order for it not to sway when wet. OP might want to rethink the total area of fence if price is a problem.

I assummed he was talking more of a cattle fence with
horizontal boards verses the standard picket fence.
