Rockefeller today

Put in a long day at the rock today, The shrimp were real good sized but with the weirs restricting water movement it was fairly slow pickings(A lot of 1 and 2 shrimp casts) Kept at it and ground out a limit but it took till about noon.

Ran in to a couple Salty Cajuns down there, Thanks to both of em for the tips / and the friendship.

I think my arms and shoulders are gonna be a bit sore tommorrow :)

Nice. Pardon the ignorance, but do you have a boat, or is a limit of shrimp doable down there for us boatless folk? I just stocked the freezer with filets, so the only way my wife will be game for another trip is if I can gather up some fresh shrimp!

And, good work!!

I did go out with a boat, I don't really know if there is any good access to any places for someone from the bank? I did see a few folks casting from the bank but have no idea if they were doing anything.

How bad did the rain get after I left?I had enough of da mud, wasn't gonna get soaked too.

I did pull up that tide site and up and compared to the one I normally use they are very close in time and tide so I bookmarked the new one and will continue to compare.

I left for the ramp with what i thought was enough time to get there before the storm. I miscalculated :)

Let's just say i was pretty happy that i brought a change of clothes.

A limit of shrimp is a good mess. Sounds like you did good.

Arch one suggestion u need a bigger net nothing less than a 7' with 1/2 " mesh .Just a suggestion. It will cover much more area and the 1/2 webbing tends to sink quicker.Good Luck in the future.

Thanks Will, I had a 7ft net that i had just lost about 2 weeks ago. I was using my old backup net :)

I definetly got to get a new good one, you have any recommendation on a good brand to get?

Old salt

1 to 3 shrimp per cast is really pretty tough for few hours. At least that's good you caught your limit out though than nothin'. Good job! *thumb up*, Arc!
