Click Clack .... BOOM !

Hit the lake yesterday with one thing on our minds and that was to smoke the reds on topwater and to say we accomplished just that would be a understatement. From cast 1 it was on. Doubles every throw and not a boat in sight.
We ( myself included ) get caught up / spoiled with trout and forget about the amazing resource Louisiana has to offer with redfish. Them Florida boys wish they had it this good. Caught between 40-50 all on top. They would hit anything including this bait the wife painted as a goof. Should have some good go pro video coming soon.

October is close back to the trout soon !!

If you don't mind me asking, what do you look for when fishing with topwater like this?

I'm looking for bait fish or shrimp jumping or just acting nervous sometimes (like yesterday ) it's really obvious other times it looks like nothing more then some out of place ripples. With redfish when they are balled up in big schools it's unmistakably and they will eat anything in front of them. It you look for 2-3 birds that look like they are looking at something and just hovering around but not really picking a lot that is usually redfish. Redfish tend to just roam all over in huge schools or packs of 4-5 and just chase bait all over and try to crush it up on a bank but they move really fast and you have to be ready to chase em. Trout will ball up bait and push it to the surface and then the birds join in.

Hey Clint, looks like y'all had a ball. The video you texted looked like they were stacked up on that bank. You need to post it here.
