Need prop help inline 4 200 yam prop?
 
Question for my My neighbors son. He just bought a 22 ft mejak with the new inline 4 yam 200 he has a power tech 4 blade 21p prop. He is turning 5200rpms and 54 mph wot. obviously this isn't the right prop. What should he have on this boat. Book says it shouod turn 61-6200 rpm. L

I would go with a 17 pitch Yamaha saltwater series prop....bout 600 bucks new. Either that or a mercury mirage,both work well on bay boats.

If it is a Majek Illusion, I would look towards a 17p Mercury REV4 or one of the Turbo 4 blades(os1, I think it is). The tunnel needs the 4 blade. If it is an Extreme, it will depend on setup, what he wants to do with the boat, but somewhere in the 17-18p range is where it needs to be.
