First time making a jambalaya.... Read a bunch of recipes and seen some online. Decided to just wing it. Lol thats usually when i do my best work. In about 2hrs ill give yall a finished product shot and let ya know how bad i messed it up :-)

Next time try adding some concord wine once your about halfway done with browning your onions. I use Mogen David. Also right after you add your water add a little kitchen bouquet. That will help with your color.

I have heard of that. I have one more thing I put in while browning my onions but I can't be giving away all my secrets. We cook completion every so often.

Neither I'll give you a big hint . It's a soft drink. Might sound crazy but it makes the onions and bell peppers carmelize so pretty.
