We usually have that problem when its really dry. Been getting a sht load of rain lately, maybe too much. They must be looking for high ground now. Just pick em up by the stinger and flush them. They swim like a rock.

MarshRat89 10-05-2013 08:36 PM

I've been popped 3 times as well as our son. Daughter 1 time. None of use have had a real issue with it. Im sure that someone could have an allergic reaction to the venom much like a bee. Could be an issue then. Their venom gets more potent as they get older. The last one that popped me was old(they turn more gray as they get old) and it made my tongue get numb. Other than that no problem except they hurt like hell.

I live about 25 miles southwest of Alexandria. Pine country up here and they love it.

Cappy 10-06-2013 10:41 AM

Thanks, I forgot they like pine tree country. I'm a swamp rat so don't see 'em around here.:)
