Bank fishing near Lafayette

Gday all. Being without a boat, all my fishing is done from the bank. As it stands, most of of the time when my wife and I go fishing we'll travel to Rockefeller refuge and fish either Joseph's Harbor or Price Lake Road for reds and specks. However, it's been terrible every time we've gone lately. I was wondering if anyone has any spots they'd care to share that are closer to Lafayette where we could have a good chance of hitting either some big bream, bass or sac a lait from the bank? Hoping for somewhere within a 30-45 minute drive if possible. If anyone can help a lowly Aussie I'd be much appreciated!

Try hitting the bar pits along the Henderson levee north of the interstate. Bring some rubber boots so you can get closer to the waters edge.. They catch a lot of sacalait around there in the spring. Lake Martin has some bank fishing opertunities as well. Good luck
