Finally Dropped a deer

It's been a good pre rut so far for our land, and me and deer hunting don't mix too well. Seems I have the worst luck.
Several big bucks have been shot this past week, I missed an opportunity and a good one yesterday due to a gun malfunction twice.
Had Senior homecoming last night, but was hell bent on going this morning.
8 o'clock rolls around I'm tired and ready to go to my bed after pulling one of those all nighters.
Climb down, look up, and there is one standing 50 yards away. Seen it's the big CowHorn we've been trying to get rid of and let one fly.
Now time for some bigger horns Attachment 57870Attachment 57871

lol. I have taken some monster naps in a deer stand after nights like that.
This is the first year in the past 6 that I don't kill a deer on opening morning. But oh well. It's hunting!

Good shooting bud!

Deer was actually 2.-2.5years old. Have pictures of him every year. Spikes don't get to stay long after 2 years

Gerald 10-29-2013 12:12 PM

Congradulations. That one is bigger than my first one last year.

Made 6 hunts this year and still have not seen a deer.

MarshRat89 10-29-2013 09:37 PM
