11/9 & 11/10 Top Water & on the Fly

Saturday am buddy and I went out looking for shallow water redfish on the fly ended up only finding muddy waters. Called another buddy to chuck in, he had his limit of trout up in Turners on shrimp and topwater but said that water was muddy. We regrouped and went out Saturday pm and did good. Found bait getting crushed and birds working and went to town with some top water action and the fly. Fly was top water and subsurface, pretty awesome to see the trout and red chase the fly all the way to the boat! Best water we found was in West Cove.
Did the same on Sunday am went looking for shallow water reds came up empty and then found bait get busted and split between top water and the fly again. First picture is a box shot from Saturday pm and the second of the fish we caught on the fly on Sunday midday. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend of fishing, we'd been wanting some top water action and we got plenty of it. Biggest trout was around 4.5-5lbs, let her go and tossed back several others. Gonna eat good! We tried our luck for flounder but came up empty we stopped near the canal entrance of Oyster Bayou, buddy said he saw a dolphin flip a flounder out of the air and I missed that, has anyone else seen something like that? Over all an amazing fishing weekend! Attachment 58496

Awesome fly trip!

Most of my money is spent on fishing, fishing tackle, & boats... The rest is wasted.

Nice trip! I still have to to get one on the fly but have had many close encounters. Need to put some more time in with it. Congrats!

I was fishing pogie plant area couple weeks ago and I watched a porpoise knock a flounder several feet in the air. He did it 6 times before he finally ate it.
