Lake Poncatrain

Got a wedding in BR Friday night and I was thinking about dragging the boat and fishing lake P on Friday morn. Are the trout on the Bridge ? Any other advice would be great. I never fished it before. Thanks.

I'm guessing your talking about the causeway? If so you'll probably need to fish close to the north shore. The water hasn't been very clear on the south side.

Yes. The causeway. Launching in mandeville.

Lake P. is a lot closer than GI or Big Lake for me. I'd appreciate a report after you fish. I've heard good things on LA Sportsman, but I still can't get past many years of working hard in Lake P. in the 1980s and coming up empty or with 1-2 fish every time.

I feel your pain. The only time I do we'll is if there are birds working. Then it's on like donkey kong.

It takes time to learn how to fish the bridges but I always go when they never bite of course so I tend to fish other places.
