front deck, flush? dropped?
Im rebuilding my skiff and have to make a decision. If I make my front deck flush it will make the work alot easier. Like ALOT easier. Only downfall is im scared of kicking crap off of it lol.or I can drop it down about 2" and have alot more glass work.... what would ypu choose and why?

Lip as stated above. I guess you could mount it flush and mount a rubrail around the top to keep stuff from falling off the deck.

+1 I would do the flush mount with a rub rail. |
What things do you set down on the front deck and is it necessary to put things there.

Packs of lures or rods, I think im gonna go flush. If I dont like it I can just glass something around it

Personally, I have had a couple of boats with flush decks and have gotten to where I prefer it.

I have a dropped deck and prefer flush.
It's all about what you want and need. Comfort and cluttered deck, get a dropped deck. If you are fishing and not worried about drink cans and stuff, get the flush. The more I fish, the more I want flush decks. They make you keep the deck clear. |
Build it flush then put some half round around the perimeter or somethin low profile

Theae are the decks im looking at. Neither will have hatches on the top. The second deck is huge. Mine will be smaller. Same height if I go that route but it takes up to much boat space
