how do you guys use the satellite images?

I have been to this site:

http://ge.ssec.wisc.edu/modis-today/...esolution=250m

and I can tell when the water looks muddy and when it looks dark and pretty. I am wondering if yall look at "today's" image to decide where to go tomorrow or what?

I use it, hate when it's cloudy though!

Gooh,

do you look at the image of the day prior to the day you are planning to go? Also where can I find a current water temp?

I use it the most during the summer time when we are heading offshore for trout.. You can usually see when the water may be dirtier offshore than it is closer to the shore and what not... this time of the year, I usually don't look at it that much. Water is almost always pretty enough at the cove, weeks bay, or sharks bayou unless we see a ton of north winds.. I still look at it though, just incase I may think about venturing into the bay, the image would kind of tell me if the water is pretty or not where I'm thinking about going
