Backlash

If you have a back lash with mono, try this. 1. Tightnen your drag 2. put your thumb on the spool. 3. crank about two are three turns. 4. pull on your line to take backlash out. If it doesnt work the first time repeat the process as many times as necessary. It is crazy how well this works and doesnt put little cut marks in your line from your finger nails. Dont try it with braid!!

amen! saw this on a youtube video 2 years ago. if you do it right from the start you will always get it out. Some of the most hopeless backlashes come right out, just gotta stick with it

Bill Dance thought me that when I was 9

Sounds like you need to keep a pencil sharpener or egg beater handy for those times
