My VB idea, thoughts?
So, first off, I'm planning on fishing this coming weekend, 12/14. Not sure if the weather will be 100%, but the boat needs to be run! and I need to get out of the house.
Here's my big idea, I'm going to the reefs south of MI. Way I figure it, same environment as the cove/trash pile, but with way less pressure put on the fish. I know sometimes the weather isn't condusive to making the crossing, but I have a 30' boat that can do it. Thoughts? Also, haven't fished for reds in awhile, any tips on where they're biting? |
Fish always biting out there. For reds I would fish the rock pile west of sw pass before you get to tee butte. Shrimp under a cork will get you bit.

if today's winds are any indication, you'll need a 130ft boat!

You will also need water to float that boat. The bay is empty right now.
|
I might head out to the Cove Monday. If you go be sure to let us know how you do.

Save the Money you'll spend In fuel and hire a guide to go duck hunting. Tete butt will probably be all the way exposed and the wind will be kicking 20mph.
