BayouChub could likely give you the lowdown on what Lake P has to offer right now. Shoot him a PM. Super nice guy!

Em591991 01-18-2014 11:42 AM

Yeah I figured he would've responded first. Might be off the grid. Pm it is

southern151 01-18-2014 12:11 PM

I'll shoot him a text message and, let him know he's being paged! LOL

Troll some traps on the causeway... :)

eman 01-18-2014 02:16 PM

water was real low this am. crab traps out the water along I-10

Em591991 01-18-2014 08:31 PM

No luck. Bounced jigs on causeway pilings. Then rode east to the train trestle. Nothing there either. Trip wasn't a total loss though. The seafox hasn't been in action since November so we really enjoyed the ride. Headed to dularge Monday in observation of MLK jr day. We usually have better luck there.

What was the water temp? That's last cold front pushed the water to 48 degrees at Boh Bros last Sunday. I found a couple trout but nothing special.

Em591991 01-18-2014 10:36 PM

49-51

SuperDave 01-19-2014 12:17 AM

Most say that when it drops below 55 the lake is off. Not sure how true that is though.

Not true at all .Just like anywhere else the fish move w/ the change in water temps . The folks in the know were catching fish last week after breaking ice to launch?
But they are not fishing the bridges.
