want a hitch deer hoist
- does anyone know anybody in lake charles area that can make one or had one of these made, in need of a fabricator/welder, didnt really wanna buy the 200.00 cabela/academy type
thanks |
do a google search and you can find em for around $100. I would bet you cant get one made and buy all the pieces much cheaper than that
Line a Bed in Westlake. $189
$89.99 for the first one I came across online. I wouldn't mind having one myself.
searching online would probably be best unless you know someone that would do the labor for free/cheap, gotta buy all the parts etc then labor I would charge every bit of 150$ maybe more to fab one up.
If you do have one made make sure to have it far enough away from the truck to open the tailgate so you can have a work table. And also have a leg that comes out of bottom (adjustable in height)to support and steady the hoist.
theres no way I could make it for less than 200$ materials and labor...maybe for myself but not to sell.

thats where mass production comes into play as an advantage...especially if you find one for 100$ price range
I made one once. Wasn't cheap except for I used the scraps I had around the shop. To buy the stuff for one or two would be a lot of money.
I am looking at this one.
http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?a=681080 Hope to be able to put a "leg" on it for my 4 wheeler. |
If I were making one, I would make it more than 6'-6" tall. That height would barely get the Deer off the ground.
I have a wench, rope and pulley system to lift a deer. All I need is a tree limb and something to anchor the wench [mounted on a 2x4] to. Used it once this year and it worked great. |
really pleased with the one i got on ebay for 159.99, no tax, no shipping, 500 lb., and with the foot, and the extension to put the tailgate down, it extends higher, and has a bearing in it to spin360, comes with gamble, just thought i'd share
