flipped vehicle in canal

Drove down to holly beach this morning and on the way I saw something really screwed up. At the bridge at Hog Islan Gully there was a vehicle upside down in the canal. Looked like an SUV of some sort. The part that was sticking up was covered with frost so it had been there most or all of the night. I hope that whoever was in that vehicle is ok
. I didnt stop because of the length of time it had been in the water. At that point its a recovery not a rescue if someone is inside. It was kind of erie.

Was that on Hwy 27 ?

That rd scares me because there is hardly no shoulder if something happens to your car...

Truck in front of us stopped for a while so I figured they called 911. It was removed when we came back through.

As I said in my original post the part of the truck sticking out of the water was covered in frost and ice. It had been In the water for several hours. It would have been a recovery not a rescue. If the car is wet and the wheels are still turning its a different scenario. Trust me I didnt like the fact that it was a good possibility that some was in that vehicle but I also knew that at that point nothing could be done.
My wife and I were very relieved to find out no one lost their life. Im also very thankful my son was sleeping when we saw it. Thats something a young kid doesnt need to be thinking about.

Must have been 2 vehicles flipped in the same spot, or he must have been the passenger. My cousin flipped his white 4 door Tacoma Friday around noon. When I got there they called out a tow but they wouldn't come because of the ice on the road. It got pulled out Saturday.
