Mobile home in canal N of Holly Beach

Happened on a real foggy day early Dec. We fished the jetties that day and did well, but we drove really slowly from Hackberry to the boat ramp and tooled slowly down the ship channel. Fishing was good, as usual, but it was foggy all morning.

Truck hit a bump and it came off the hitch. You can see the scrapes in the road where it hit. They were trying to pull it out the last day of duck season but as we came back north it looked like all they did was tear it up.

Saw it yesterday and it looks like they are trying to tear it up and haul it off. Man if that would have happened up here the meth heads woulda gutted that thing by now.

I personally know who's trailer it was. They were hauling it to JB to put up next to my land on Smith Ridge. The ball broke in half on the moving companies truck. They tried to talk him into letting them get it fixed for him, that lasted all of about 1 minute. They brought him a whole new trailer in from Texas a week later. From what he has been told the moving company is fighting the ball manufacture for a defective ball, but either way he has his trailer up now.

Man that sucks for all involved. That's great that the moving company made it right without having to take them to court. I really would hate to be in their shoes.
