Holly Beach

I see we have a SSE breeze down there is that good for fishing in the surf this time of year? Thinking of trying my luck tomorrow if the conditions are right.

A south wind pushes muddy water into the shore line.

A wind out of the north for a couple of days is much better.

Fished last weekend and the water was really dirty. We had a west wind on the beach from 5 to 10 mph. SSE wind is gona get the surf rolling and make the water really muddy, as previously stated. We have caught reds in muddy surf though.

Big reds, black drum can be caught year round on the beach. For trout you need cleaner/warmer.

mud really dont. bother reds. If theyre there they will find your bait.Big chunks of crab in muddy water has worked for me many times
