Ice fishing at it's best
 

Here in Nova Scotia, Canada we fish for smelts through the ice. As you can see it is a great time for family to get together and make it a cook up of deer meat, deer sausage, and some tasty smelts. For the most part we spear them through the holes and other times, as you can see, we use shrimp as bait and fish them using ice rods, line, and gear. Tons of fun.
