SaltyCajun.com - Toledo Bend 2-23-14

Woke up around 4:30 to hit the bend with "Bohunterbiff" from salty cajun. Made our way to the launch and put in.... Fog was tick tick.... Waited til day break and made our way to 6 mile on the TX side. Get to 6 mile and it looked like turners bay when the birds are working. Counted 20+ boats in one area. Im talking so close to one another, you could pitch a perch hook at them and hook them. We started working the grass flats area at 6 mile with a couple dinks to show for. Robert kept getting bit, but couldnt connect. Finally, around 8:00 or so, he connects with a keeper fish. We fished weighless flukes in green pumpkin and watermelon red. God bites off of several other color flukes. Fish were in a weird pattern.... If the sun was not out, they were up close to the grass, if it came out, they moved to the points about 20-40 yards off the points. Fish SLOW SLOW SLOW.... When you think your fishing SLOW, SLOW it down more. Get the fluke in the grass, thats where they are at. Here are some pics. Alot of pics actually. On the way in, we ran thru a few flocks of coots in the boat lanes and actually had to come to a complete stop so we didnt hit any of them. I have a video which I'll upload the link to it....
