I bought one used it about 2-3 times and upgraded to the straight razor. I just didn't like the feel of that. I couldn't be very precise with it. The straight razor is much easier to use and a lot more precise. Many ppl love the safety razor though. I just like the straight better. Both beat the stuff at Walmart. Go to the art of shaving and get you a kit. Great investment.

It has alot to do with your shaving cream! You getting it out a can or mix it yourself ?? It makes all the difference !

I mix myself. Also use preshave oil and aftershave balm all from art of shaving. Way better than what most use. I just don't care for the safety razor. I mean precision as in outlining not closeness

It's from art of shaving. I think mine is the black handle one just like that

I've used them with the mink hair brush and mixed lather, was nice. But, I do dollarshaveclub.com and am just as satisfied with their cheap stuff. For those who don't want the hassle, they deliver automatically every month...

MathGeek 03-22-2014 06:40 PM

I'm supposed to shave?

mriguy 03-22-2014 07:07 PM

x2 - 9 bucks a month and I don't have to ever worry about forgetting to get blades.

meaux fishing 03-22-2014 07:54 PM

One blade lasts me at least a month so I just buy the ones at the store

mriguy 03-22-2014 07:58 PM

I buy Wilkinson's at Wally World

And the mrs uses the overflow. Win win in my book.

capt coonassty 03-22-2014 08:43 PM

I've used one for about 1.5 years now. Wouldn't trade it for a multi blade razor. Bought a 100 pack of blades and haven't gone through halve yet.

Top Dawg 03-22-2014 08:50 PM

I need to try something different. The disposable ones the ol lady I usually have to use two per shave.

weedeater 03-22-2014 09:22 PM

Been thinking about just waxing what hair I have left.... I ruin a blade with one shaving with the wire I have
