I've been wanting to get one for a little while now and was wondering if any of you guys own one or have any recommendations?

I have a couple my two favorite are the benelli M2 tactical and mossberg
500 tactical.. I'm at my fishing camp an don't have a pic of the M2 but here is my moss..Attachment 65772

you could a good old 870 and put the accessories you want on it. that's what i did.

Mossberg 500 at Academy w/ 18.5" barrel for $350.

12 gauge that racks really loud, don't even have to shoot

That's what I have with a magazine extension.

Remington 870,carried mine for decades in law enforcement, never let me down.can often find them for sale used on line, l aw enforcement trade ins. Mossberg is good/ benelli /fn/winchster defender,cant go wrong imo

Got an ol beat up New Haven (M'burg knock off) that's ugly and rattles. Shoots like a dream tho.

870 w/ #4 buck.

Whatever you go with, make sure you go and shoot it with your defense rounds. I went out with my brand new mossburg 500 and had 3 brands of 00 buckshot. One of those brands would not extract correctly but the other two did just fine. You don't to find that out by surprise.
